Semiconductor Industry human resource development, technology exchange, industry practice, and exchange services.
2024/09/09 Otemachi Lecture
At the GPIC Study Group at Informa Intelligence G.K. in Otemachi North Tower, Japan.
I gave a lecture for about an hour and a half on a wide range of topics, including lifestyles, business practices, and etiquette in Japan, Taiwan, China, and the United States, as well as the differences in the technological systems of Taiwanese and Japanese semiconductors, human resource development, practice, and exchange.
I honestly and frankly shared my background, experiences, and local voices with everyone.
I had an in-depth discussion with those who in presence at the lecture and those who were online, exchanged opinions with an open mind, and shared my experience together, asking questions such as, to what extent can Japan recover its semiconductors, and how can Japan improve the 40 years it has lost so that it can stand shoulder to shoulder with global countries? I also shared examples of success stories from overseas.
Everyone was so enthusiastic in the discussion that they didn’t even have time to take a break. It was such an interesting speech.
The person who invited me to this lecture and made this valuable connection was Senior Consulting Director Akira Minamikawa.
He is an analyst, author, and lecturer at technical seminars, focusing on the global electronics and semiconductor industries, and has also published analysis in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun and magazines, and is active on the front lines on television (such as an explanatory interview on Taiwanese semiconductors on NHK News Watch at 9).
Furthermore, the venue for this lecture was the GPIC Study Group led by Yasuo Nishiguchi, former chairman of Kyocera Corporation.
I have a long, long connection with Kyocera, and I am truly grateful to be able to give a lecture here today. Thank you!
2024/07/19 JEITA Forum 2024
The other day, I participated in a seminar held by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).
The seminar was one day long, from 9:30 to 16:40, I learned a lot and also had the opportunity to interact with the speakers and exchange meaningful opinions.
Thanks to JEITA, I have been able to make this important connection, and I would like to continue to do my best to be of service to Taiwan and Japan. I would be most happy if we could share knowledge and information in many areas, not just semiconductors, and grow together as we work together.
2024/07/16 Revisit to SEAJ
The other day, I had a chance to revisit SEAJ (Japan Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Association) and had a meeting to exchange ideas for nearly an hour.
We reached a consensus with the Executive Director, Mr. Watanabe, Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Sato, Secretary General and Public Relations Manager, Mr. Kobayashi, to strongly promote activities that will serve as a bridge between Japan and Taiwan in many areas, not just semiconductors!
I am truly grateful to everyone for taking the time out of their busy schedules to meet with me, and I was deeply touched by how kindly they welcomed me.

Support for Semiconductor Industry human resource development, technology exchange, industry practice, and exchange services.
At the end of last year, I stayed in Taiwan for about two weeks. As we are aware, Taiwan's semiconductor industry is currently a hot topic. Meanwhile, Taiwan is the world leader in semiconductor manufacturing. We had a meeting with a world-leading semiconductor company in Taiwan and a professor who is deeply involved in the semiconductor industry. As a result, we have decided to take on a new challenge for 2024. In order to further contribute to the development of the Japan-Taiwan semiconductor industry in the future, and to provide excellent technology as quickly as possible, we will support the discovery of excellent human resources in Japan and Taiwan and promote mutual exchange effectively. Our new business services scope is: Between Taiwan and Japan, Support for Semiconductor Industry human resource development, technology exchange, industry practice, and exchange services. We look forward to your continued support.JEITA General Incorporated Association - Electronics and IT Industry Association
I participated in the 2024 New Year's greetings party.
We introduce a professor who is deeply involved in Taiwan's world-leading semiconductor industry to greet and interact with top executives of Japan's leading semiconductor companies
State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry
and State Minister of Cabinet Office
SEAJ
At the SEAJ Japan Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Association, we had a fruitful and meaningful meeting with the Managing Director and other related parties.
Thank you for all your time and support.
